Hotness is Revived On Stage!

Well, with all the bad news of all the closings on Broadway, it's nice to hear some good news. First Lorelai Gilmore Lauren Graham as Adelaide which really puts the revival of Guys and Dolls back on my must-see list, now the cast for the much anticipated revival of West Side Story has FINALLY been announced! (Starts on Broadway Feb. 23rd 2009, Starts in Washington D.C. on Dec. 15th 2008 at the National Theatre where the show originally debuted)

And the cast is HOT!

Uber-hottie Matt Cavenaugh (A Catered Affair, Grey Gardens) is Tony as previously leaked.

The totally fab Karen Olivo (In the Heights) will be Anita.

Loved her in In the Heights and I only wish she returned to do Hair this past summer but I guess she won't be taking on that Broadway revival either now that she's in this one!

Cody Green will be Riff.

Who is Cody Green you say? Well, he's done Moving Out and Grease on Broadway but I finally figured out where I've seen him before. He was the Canadian hottie and eventual winner of the cheesetastic Step It Up and Dance!!!

George Akram (The Farrelly's Stuck on You) will play Bernardo.

Broadway newcomer Josefina Scaglione (from Buenos Aires) gets the coveted Maria lead.

Also of note, cutie petewtie Curtis Holbrook (Saved, Xanadu) will play Action. Mike Cannon (A Chorus Line) will play Snowboy, but Paul McGill who was rumoured to be in the cast is nowhere found on the list. Sad, I was so excited for him. (UPDATE: Oh wait. It's cause Paul is currently filming the Fame movie remake.)

Still, I can't believe Canadian boy Cody Green got a leading role, especially after Step It Up And Dance with Elizabeth Berkley. Who knew it had actual cred?
